Private lessons offer a one-on-one learning experience tailored specifically to you and your dog. Instead of following a general class curriculum, we focus on the exact skills or behavioral issues you want to address right now.
This is a wonderful option if you need a flexible schedule, have specific goals, or if your dog simply learns better without the distraction of other dogs nearby. We will work together at a pace that is comfortable for you to help you communicate clearly and build a better relationship with your pet.

What is AKC?
AKC classes are structured training programs that teach dogs basic to advanced obedience, good manners, and social skills, while helping owners build clear communication and a positive, well-trained relationship with their dog.
What is AKC STAR Puppy?
The AKC STAR Puppy class is an introductory training program that teaches puppies basic manners, social skills, and focus, while helping owners build a strong foundation for responsible dog ownership and future training.
What is Manners 1?
Manners 1 – Basic Obedience is an introductory dog training class that teaches essential skills such as sit, down, leave it, and watch me, helping dogs build focus, self-control, and good everyday manners.
What is Manners 2 & 3?
Manners 2 & 3 – Advanced Obedience build on basic skills with increased focus on reliability, socialization, and real-world manners. Dogs learn longer sit and down stays, improved recall, stronger focus, and better listening around other people and dogs, both in class and out in public settings.
What is Canine Good Citizen (CGC)?
The CGC (Canine Good Citizen) class prepares dogs and owners for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test by focusing on polite behavior, reliable obedience, and calm, confident manners around people, dogs, and everyday distractions.
What is Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA/Community)?
The CGCA (Canine Good Citizen Advanced) Community class builds on CGC skills by training dogs to demonstrate reliable manners, focus, and obedience in real-life community settings with increased distractions.
What is Urban Canine Good Citizen (CGCU)?
The CGCU class builds on basic obedience to prepare dogs for real-world urban settings. Through training around typical city distractions—traffic, crowds, and public spaces—dogs learn focus, confidence, and polite behavior. Successful completion earns the official CGCU title, showing your dog is well-mannered and socially responsible.
